Abe David

Abe David consults to companies in a range of industries, providing strategic advice at boardroom and senior management level.

Abe had 17 years experience of working in the construction and metalworking industries in Australia and Southeast Asia, gaining first-hand knowledge of business, management and labour issues facing companies in the region.

He co-authored (with the late Associate Professor Ted Wheelwright) “The Third Wave - Australia and Asian Capitalism” (1989). He has been a guest speaker on Asia at numerous industry forums.

Chris Ray

With a background in journalism and public relations in Australia and Asia, Chris consults to Australian-based companies on many aspects of their Asian operations.

Chris heads our research and analysis group providing advice on issues including market developments, political impacts on business and competitive intelligence.

His work in Asia has included a 2 1/2 -year posting in Vietnam. As a former national secretary of the Australia -Vietnam Society he facilitated people to people contacts between the two countries.

Ian Fehring

Ian Fehring is highly experienced in industrial relations and employment law and is a Barrister at the Victorian Bar.

He has completed post-graduate studies on employment and labour law issues in South East Asia and published material concerning Indonesian labour law.

His current practice involves advice on industrial relations, employment and discrimination law.

Hajime Matsuzaki

Hajime Matsuzaki has a background in construction engineering and facilitates business links between Australia and Japan.

Hajime holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan; Master of Industrial Relations from the University of Western Australia and a PhD from the University of New South Wales. He wrote “Japanese Business Unionism” (1992, IRRC, UNSW).

He is a former deputy secretary of the Japan Federation of Construction Engineers' Unions.
